Beautiful morning for the Fayetteville Farmers’ Market.
I was asked to speak about the important of young leaders at this year’s Fourth Annual Jefferson-Jackson After Dark event, hosted by the Young Democrats of Arkansas. I stole a quote from Robert Kennedy:
This world demands the qualities of youth. Not a time of life, but a state of mind; a temper of the will; a quality of the imagination; a predominance of courage over timidity; an appetite of adventure over a love of ease.
Here’s me (waving) accepting my Robert Putnam Social Capital Award at the 2011 Living Liberally Celebration at the DCTV Firehouse in New York on May 7 of this year. Also pictured: Katrina Baker, Matthew O’Neill, and Justin Krebs—all three terrific people.
